Scott A. Gorman joined the firm in April 2007. He concentrates his practice in criminal defense, municipal court matters, and commercial litigation, including appeals. He has represented clients at all levels of the court system and was named among the Rising Stars in Criminal Defense in the 2010 New Jersey Super Lawyers. He is admitted to practice law in both New York and New Jersey, as well as the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Mr. Gorman received his Juris Doctor in 2005 from Rutgers School of Law - Newark and he received a B.S. with honors from Cornell University. After graduating from law school, Mr. Gorman clerked in the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey for the Honorable Barbara Byrd Wecker, J.A.D. for the 2005-06 term. While in law school, Mr. Gorman served as a Managing Editor of the Rutgers Law Review. He was also selected to represent Rutgers-Newark in the National Appellate Advocacy Competition and won the Best Brief Award for the 2004 David Cohn Appellate Advocacy Competition.
Mr. Gorman is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA), Bergen County Bar Association (BCBA), and National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL).
