Joshua Lax joined the firm in March 2009. A member of the firm's Criminal Defense Team, Mr. Lax has been integrally involved in the defense of numerous clients charged with both major and minor criminal and motor vehicle offenses.
Mr. Lax received his Juris Doctor with a Certification in Criminal Law and Procedure in 2008 from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, and a B.A. in History and Magazine Journalism with honors from Syracuse University in 2005. He is admitted to practice law in both New York and New Jersey, as well as the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Mr. Lax is a former intern of the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office where his passion for criminal law and trial advocacy began. Mr. Lax also participated in the Prosecutor Practicum clinic at Cardozo, in which he worked full time for a semester in the New York County District Attorney's Office as a Student Assistant District Attorney. He worked alongside assistant district attorneys writing motions and briefs, interviewing witnesses and preparing for trial.
